A new thematic zone — the "French Garden" — will appear in the Minsk Botanical Garden. It will be designed in a classic French style: with neat straight paths, trimmed bushes, roses, and decorative sculptures.
The main element of the zone will be a berceau — a green arch that will be covered with plants in summer. In addition, a labyrinth with animal figures will appear here, as well as a recreation area with flowerbeds and benches. They plan to complete the work by mid-summer.
The Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is a huge and beautiful green space, occupying dozens of hectares and housing collections of plants from all over the world. It is a popular place for walks, photo shoots, and peaceful relaxation, especially in the spring-summer season when ornamental plants begin to bloom.
Admission to the garden is paid: a ticket for adults currently costs 15 rubles, with discounts available for students, schoolchildren, large families, and pensioners. In the warmer months, exhibitions, excursions, and thematic events are often held here, so a visit can be combined not only with a walk but also with a cultural program.
