The first tanker with Russian diesel fuel will depart for the US on October 22. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, writes TASS.
"The first tanker, as planned, will leave the port tomorrow, on the 22nd. To the United States of America," TASS quotes him as saying.
The tanker's displacement will be 40 thousand tons.
"And after it, of course, subsequent batches will follow. As agreed between the two leaders, we will meet the needs of the United States of America within our capabilities," he said.
Novak's statement came against the backdrop of the start of negotiations between Vladimir Putin and US special envoy Steve Whitkoff.
