Residents of Baraulyany are massively searching for wooden figures in the forest. What are they?
A month ago, carved wooden toys and installations began appearing in the Prilepsky reserve near Minsk. Fairy-tale mini-doors, installed under an old stump, became the first art object that changed the usual walking route for local residents. The publication pristalica.by managed to speak with the creator of the art objects and find out what is behind his initiative.

The Forest That Became a Gallery
The forest massif bordering Baraulyany and the agro-town Lyasny has long been a favorite route for local residents. Here, amidst picturesque landscapes, one can daily see cyclists traveling from the Zialiony Bor microdistrict to Uzborje, people walking with children, animals, and fans of Nordic walking.
In August, a miniature art object appeared on the path: fairy-tale handmade red doors with a small window, to which a wooden path leads. Next to it is a lantern with a pine cone instead of a light bulb. The author placed it in a hollow under a stump, near the root system, and covered the gaps with moss. It looks like a forest elf's dwelling! This composition was the first to appear and made passers-by wonder: who is the author of this fairy-tale decoration?

Next to the installations and toys are small signs with the author's social media username. On his Instagram and TikTok, he publishes short video clips, shows where his carved figures are located, and communicates with viewers.
Who He Is and Why He Hides
The mysterious creator confirmed that he lives in Baraulyany. The interest in his project amused him, but he refused to reveal himself, explaining that the appearance of his face would change the essence of his initiative.
"I am not an artist. I'm an ordinary person, a husband and a father. I have always loved being creative. There are many things around that can be made better, and I simply do what I can. Previously, my children and I collected litter along the roads in Baraulyany, simply because it's more pleasant to live in cleanliness," the man said.

The artist emphasizes: intrigue is not his goal. Anonymity is part of the concept.
"Good done without a name belongs to everyone. If you found a figure in the forest, it is as much yours as it is mine. If you came up with a story, it will be real," the artist muses.
The man enjoys watching how people react to his works and photograph them. It is for these emotions that he organized this project.
Points of Wonder on the Route in Prilepsky
Over one month, many works appeared in the forest. Residents found wooden little men hanging on a tree branch. These toys particularly amused passers-by: residents wrote in comments under his video clips that they specifically sought them out. The artist also carved fish, fastened them to a metal base, and stuck them into the ground. Later, the fish disappeared — most likely, they were taken, but the man was not upset by their disappearance.

During a walk, one can find carved deer fawns and an owl with scorched elements, a rope spiderweb with a wooden spider. The freshest toy is a wooden bee. On social media, the author invited viewers to look for it and even allowed them to take the found figure or move it to another location.

Local residents have "caught the game": they search for new toys, photograph them, and thank the initiator. And he, in turn, has already promised his neighbors to carve new forest inhabitants.
