Poland signed an agreement on a SAFE defense loan of 43.7 billion euros
Poland and the European Commission have signed an agreement on providing a loan within the framework of the European Union's SAFE defense program.

According to the agreement, the Polish state will receive 43.7 billion euros in loans, which will be directed towards the purchase of weaponry and the development of the defense industry, writes Reform.news
Poland has become the largest beneficiary of the SAFE program. The country's Minister of Defense, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, assured that his department has prepared projects for the entire amount. Several dozen contracts with contractors will be signed in the future.
It is expected that most of the projects will be implemented by Polish companies. Equipment, weaponry, and gear purchased under the program must be transferred to the Polish army by 2030.
