Belarus enters top 10 global fertilizer exporters

Belarus ranked 10th in the global rating of fertilizer exporters. Our country supplied 2.44 million tons of products to foreign markets. Data from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) accounts for the export of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers in terms of nutrient content, writes Thinktanks.pro.

Among its neighbors, Belarus surpasses everyone except Russia. Russia ranks first in the world with 23.23 million tons. Poland is in 19th place (1.07 million tons), Lithuania — in 24th with 727.2 thousand tons. Latvia holds 62nd place (64.3 thousand tons), and Ukraine ranked 86th with 13.3 thousand tons.

Global fertilizer exports in 2024 exceeded 113.3 million tons. Second place after Russia was taken by Canada with 14.42 million tons, third by Morocco with 12.15 million tons. China exported 10.13 million tons and took fourth place. The top five leaders are rounded out by the USA (6.37 million tons).
