A vegetable festival is taking place in Grodno
And not just vegetables.
A bright part of the Grodno City Day celebration was the opening of the first vegetable festival in Belarus. Tastings, master classes, and exhibitions featuring over 100 varieties were organized in Zhyliber Park, writes BelTA.
It's not just vegetables here. At the festival, you can see 25 varieties of watermelons grown this year in the Grodno region.
The festival features a lot of interactive activities, as well as a concert. At the vegetable festival, you can learn to cook various dishes.
For example, Alena Dzisko shows how to prepare 'lapti'.
«From potatoes, you can carve Belarusian 'lapti', which are served with various fillings: meat, mushroom. You can bake them immediately with the filling, or separately, and serve the filling or sauce, for example with herring, on top», — she shared.
