Germany's Chargé d'affaires in Belarus, Katrin aus dem Siepen, together with her husband, recorded a touching video message to Belarusians on the occasion of the last month of summer.
During a walk in Minsk's Yanka Kupala Park, near the monument to the Belarusian poet, they recited poems in two languages.
Katrin aus dem Siepen read lines in Belarusian from Yanka Kupala's poem "Summer, you beautiful blossoming summer, how much beauty you bring with you!". In turn, her husband recited a lyrical work by Heinrich Heine about the beauty of the world in German.
As noted in the German Embassy's publication, this became a poetic bridge between nations and recalled universal human values and the inspiration that artists from different countries found in their native nature.
