Belarusbank has restricted foreign exchange operations on its cards
Belarusbank has temporarily restricted foreign exchange operations on bank cards. This was reported on the official website of the institution.

The restrictions came into force on July 29, 2026, and apply to card-to-card transfers for accounts in foreign currencies — US dollars, euros, Russian rubles, and Chinese yuan. They cover cases where the transfer currency does not match the currency of the sender's and/or recipient's account. An exception is made only for operations using Belarusian rubles.
Due to the introduction of these restrictions, sending and crediting such transfers in a currency different from the account currency has become temporarily unavailable through Belarusbank's infokiosks and ATMs, the internet banking system, the bank's official website, the "M-Banking" service, Belarusbank online banking, as well as through remote service platforms of other banks.
The bank noted that this is a temporary restriction. The reasons for its introduction and the possible terms for restoring full functionality have not yet been reported.
Belarusbank is the largest bank in Belarus. It was established in 1991, and in 1995, it was reorganized after merging with Belarus Savings Bank. The state owns 99.95 percent of the bank's authorized fund. Its network includes six regional departments, 118 banking service centers, and about 1,200 points of sale for banking products.
