Fewer School Fairs Being Organized in Belarus
The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade reported that the number of school fairs in Belarus, traditionally held before the start of the academic year, continues to decrease, writes BelTA.

As noted by Katsiaryna Makutsenya, Deputy Head of the Methodology Department of the Trade and Public Catering Organization Department at MARG, this trend has been observed for several years. The main reason is the gradual shift of buyers to online retail.
However, the sale of goods for schoolchildren already started in mid-July and will continue almost until the end of September. School uniforms, footwear, stationery, and other necessary items can be purchased in department stores, hypermarkets, and branded stores of Belarusian manufacturers.
Additional sales points have been organized in many retail establishments, with special corners arranged for first-graders and schoolchildren. Almost every large store has separate sections for stationery.
According to operational data from regional executive committees and Minsk City Executive Committee, approximately 250 school fairs, weekend fairs, and sales exhibitions are planned to be held throughout the country in 2026.
