A temporary ban on vessel movement at night — from midnight to 5:00 AM — has been introduced in Russia's main port of Novorossiysk. According to grain industry sources cited by Reuters, this decision was made after Ukrainian drone attacks.

The agency's interlocutors claim that the order was conveyed verbally, without official documents. However, the port continues to operate as usual during other hours, and the loading and dispatch of grain are not halted.

The Russian Ministry of Transport and the port administration have not yet commented on this information.

Novorossiysk port is the largest in Russia and one of the key ones for grain exports: about a third of all Russian grain supplies abroad pass through it.

The restrictions were introduced after security measures in the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait were strengthened earlier this month. At the same time, Novorossiysk is considered a possible point through which grain previously shipped through Azov Sea ports could be redirected.
