Catholic priest detained in Dziarečyn
It became known to "Hrodna Human Rights Protection" that Catholic priest Yury Hrytsko was detained a few days ago. This happened in the town of Dziarečyn, Zelva district, where the priest serves in the parish.

Local authorities called the priest on Thursday, July 9, and told him to come to the village council. When the priest arrived there by 5 PM, police officers were waiting for him. The priest was detained, and his hands were cuffed. After that, Yury Hrytsko was taken to the police station, and his car remained parked at the village council.
The next day, on Friday, July 10, Hrytsko was sentenced to 15 days of arrest. It is still unknown on what charges the priest was detained.
