Best Series of the Year: Emmy Awards 2026 Nominees Announced
The American Television Academy has announced the nominees for the 78th Emmy Awards, which will take place on September 14. The medical series "The Pitt" became the leader in the number of nominations — it is contending for a record 25 awards, Vogue writes .

It is followed by the series "Hacks" — a comedy about the working relationship between a legendary Las Vegas stand-up comedy diva and a young screenwriter, presented in 24 nominations.
Also among the Emmy leaders this year are popular series such as "Widow's Bay". This is a horror comedy, the events of which take place in the island town of Widow's Bay in New England, over which hangs a centuries-old curse that brings various supernatural disasters to the island. The series "Widow's Bay" received 19 nominations.
And the popular series "The Bear", which tells about the daily life of a small family restaurant in Chicago with Jeremy Allen White as chef Carmy, is presented in 23 nominations.
