Details revealed about Belarusian special services agents detained in Poland for filming opposition rallies
The National Public Prosecutor's Office of Poland and Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesperson for the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services, shared details about a Belarusian and a Pole detained by the Internal Security Agency who video-recorded actions by Belarusians in Warsaw, writes REFORM.news.
As reported by the Prosecutor's Office, the detained Belarusian citizen is named Aliaksei B., and the Polish citizen is Rafał G.
The Belarusian is 19 years old, he is legally in Poland, and worked as a waiter in Warsaw.
The detainees have been charged with acting in the interests of foreign intelligence in 2024-2025 in Warsaw and other locations across the country.
«At least since last autumn, they have been attending various events of the Belarusian minority here in Warsaw, including protests and festivals. There, I emphasize, at the behest of the Belarusian special services, they photographed participants, recorded videos, and sent them across the eastern border so that the Belarusian special services, Lukashenka's services, could use them for their own mercenary purposes, and, of course, for propaganda purposes. It is worth noting that the court had no doubts. Therefore, by court decision, the 19-year-old Belarusian, who legally resided in the country and worked here in Warsaw as a waiter, will spend the next three months in custody,» said Jacek Dobrzyński on TVPinfo.
The Polish citizen, as reported, remains at large, under police supervision; he is prohibited from leaving the country, and his passport has been confiscated.
According to information from the National Public Prosecutor's Office of Poland, five people have already been detained as part of the investigation, including three citizens of Belarus and two of Ukraine.
Three suspects have been in custody since November 2025, one has been placed in a juvenile detention center, and one of the suspects has died.
The activities of the suspects were coordinated via Telegram. They received payment in cryptocurrency.
In addition to filming events involving Belarusians, they also filmed objects of «critical infrastructure and other locations crucial for the security of the state and its citizens».
«The materials obtained in this way were subsequently used by the Belarusian regime for propaganda purposes», the Prosecutor's Office statement reads.
