World ranking of beer producers appeared. What place does Belarus occupy?
Belarus entered the top 60 largest beer producers in the world. According to the results of 2024, the country ranked 58th among 174 states and territories presented in the annual BarthHaas Report 2024/25, writes Thinktanks.pro.

BarthHaas is a German company that is one of the largest global hop suppliers. Annually, it publishes a report on the state of the global beer market and brewing industry.
Among neighboring countries, Belarus lags behind Russia, Poland, and Ukraine in terms of beer production volume. Russia ranked 5th in the world with a production volume of 2.4 billion gallons, Poland — 11th place with 0.91 billion gallons, and Ukraine settled in 30th place with an indicator of 0.37 billion gallons.
At the same time, Lithuania ranked 72nd, producing 0.073 billion gallons of beer, while Latvia ended up in 111th position with a volume of 0.019 billion gallons.
China remains the world leader in beer production, where 9.01 billion gallons were brewed in 2024 — this is 18.2% of the total world output. The United States took second place with 4.87 billion gallons, and Brazil third with 3.89 billion gallons. Mexico and Russia also entered the top five.
The last places in the ranking were occupied by small states and territories with minimal production volumes. The lowest indicator was recorded in Gambia and South Sudan — 50 thousand gallons each. Palestine, North Korea, and Vanuatu were also at the end of the list.
