The situation on the southern border of Belarus remains tense, and it needs to be further protected in an intensified regime. Alexander Lukashenka stated this while listening to a report on proposals to adjust the plan for the development of the Armed Forces for 2026-2030, reports BelTA.
"The southern border — one and a half thousand kilometers (you know this, our military are stationed there) — is burning like never before. This is the answer to some military personnel whether we need to protect the southern border in an intensified regime or not. This is the answer. We need to. We are military people; the people maintain us at their own expense so that we can protect these people," he emphasized.
