Rybinsk in fire and black smoke — drones attacked a strategic oil storage facility
On the morning of June 14, the Yaroslavl region of Russia came under attack from Ukrainian drones. The target of the attack in the city of Rybinsk was the "Temp" combine of Rosrezerv, which holds strategic reserves of oil products and fuel.
According to eyewitness reports, the attack occurred in the morning, after which three enormous columns of thick black smoke rose over the city, shrouding the sky.
The "Temp" combine is a closed federal state institution and serves as a strategic base-storage facility. It stores vast volumes of state reserves of oil products and fuel, intended for the needs of the Russian army, railways, and emergency services in case of emergencies.
This is not the first attempt to destroy the object — the combine was attacked by drones six months ago.
Following the attack, urgent security measures were taken in the region. By order of the governor of the Yaroslavl region, Mikhail Evraev, traffic on highways towards Moscow was temporarily blocked. Information regarding the exact scale of the fire and any casualties is being clarified.
Also, a large chemical plant "Azot" in the Tula region was attacked overnight. There, after a series of explosions, a fire broke out.
