New book published about Grodno's historical cemeteries
Grodno photographer and writer Sviatlana Nesterenko has published her second historical book about Grodno cemeteries, reports the Telegram channel Hrodna 11:27.
The book «Гродненские ангелы. Гродненский католический некрополь» (Grodno Angels. Grodno Catholic Necropolis) tells about the Catholic part of the old Grodno cemeteries. The first book, published almost two years ago, accordingly, covered the Orthodox part of the burials.
The presentation of the new edition took place in the chapel at the cemetery on April 15. There are very few copies of the book; the print run is modest.
Sviatlana Nesterenko is a very active resident of Grodno. Besides two books about cemeteries and a historical novel about Count Michał Walicki, she also took photos for the latest edition of «Biography of Streets» and photographed tiled stoves in Grodno's historic buildings for a possible future catalog of them.
