GUBOPiK and OMON Visited Blogger Who Spoke on YouTube About Working in Online Casino
Blogger Andrei Dunikovski was detained a month ago in a criminal case for insulting Alexander Lukashenka. The man was held for three days in Akrestsina, and then, according to him, was released on bail. He spoke about this on his YouTube channel, noticed "Zerkalo".
According to Andrei, on September 14, GUBOPiK and OMON officers came to his home. The man was detained and taken to an investigator. She said that the blogger was sought in connection with a criminal case for insulting Alexander Lukashenka. The reason for the investigation was "some funny videos from Telegram, specifically, some GIFs or some jokes."
“I didn’t make any of them myself personally; they were just taken from the internet, and not by me. As you know, I have several admins on Telegram, and they actively post various content to my channel,” Andrei said.
After this, the man was taken to the Temporary Detention Facility (TDF) in Akrestsina. There, according to him, it was very cold, and to keep warm, he constantly marched in place. The next day, Andrei was taken to the District Department of Internal Affairs (RUUS), where the investigator and a lawyer were waiting for him. There, they showed him videos to which they had complaints.
“And I watched these videos, and they were absolutely insignificant, not to say unserious, meaning not offensive at all, but just, well, like a fun party vibe. For example, there’s an episode where a huge, muscular Ronnie Coleman, if anyone doesn’t know, he’s one of the coolest bodybuilders of the nineties – early two-thousands, just with Lukashenka’s face, well, made by a neural network, just working out there. So, what’s offensive here, what’s humiliating here, I don’t know. This is some GIF that has been circulating on the internet for a long time. Someone simply reposted it to my Telegram channel, maybe even me, maybe one of my admins. And as a result, this is considered an insult. And there were about five such jokes,” the man said.
After the interrogation at the RUUS, the man was again taken to Akrestsina, where he spent another day. Later, Andrei was informed that he could be released on bail.
“We started discussing possible options for how we could proceed. Naturally, the information reached my employer. The guys there gave it some thought and, let’s say, offered the option of bail, that is, to be released on bail.
The guys from my company collected the money and managed to deposit it that morning. I signed certain papers. Additionally, I was taken to the boss, who said that, well, I had behaved badly, that it’s generally impermissible to do such things, that in this country it’s unacceptable to joke about the head of the country and all that. I, in turn, said that such a meaning was not intended at all, which, by the way, is absolutely true. Nevertheless, I perfectly understand that older, more adult people, naturally, find all these jokes and such things alien,” the blogger said.
As a result, Andrei was released from the TDF, but the criminal case against him has not yet been closed.
Andrei Dunikovski resigned from Betera in 2024. In 2025, he recorded an almost seven-hour video that garnered hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube. In the video, he spoke about his work at the company and claimed that its aggressive advertising worked well. After this, the Belarusian's former employer had complaints about the ex-employee.
In March 2026, the company filed a complaint against the former employee, demanding that the man be held accountable under eight administrative articles and one criminal article. The administrative offenses concerned personal data protection issues, and the criminal article mentioned Article 369¹ ("Discrediting Belarus"), the blogger said.
