Trump announced a phone conversation with Putin
But when it will happen is unclear.
There is still no clarity on exactly when the conversation between the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, may take place. This was reported to TASS by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian leader.
Answering journalists' question about whether the conversation has already been agreed upon with the Russian side and if there is an understanding of when it might happen, he said: «Not yet. We will inform you.»
The day before, on October 7, Trump announced a phone conversation with the Russian president. «I've agreed to a call. Today is his birthday. Today is Vladimir Putin's birthday. I'm sure you're going to mark it,» he told reporters.
The last time the heads of state spoke on the phone was on September 8. The conversation took place after the visit of American negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv.
