Mozyr to launch transport with full autopilot
Mozyr plans to launch transport that will operate with full autopilot. Vehicle control, braking, and even door opening will be handled by an artificial intelligence-based system, according to the press service of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee.
The main goal of the project is to increase traffic safety and reduce the number of accidents. The driver will remain in the cabin, but their role will change: instead of direct control, they will monitor the system's operation and, if necessary, back it up, essentially performing the functions of a "flight engineer."
It is expected that full autonomy will minimize the influence of the human factor, reduce risks on the road, and make transport movement more predictable according to the schedule.
