Ukraine bids farewell to fallen Belarusian volunteer Tsikhan "Frants" Kliukach
Tsikhan died on May 9 in the Lyman direction. Problems with evacuation and identification procedures delayed the farewell for four months.
The farewell took place on Sunday.
“On September 13, brothers-in-arms from the 60th Inhulets Brigade invited us to the final farewell with Frants. Tsikhan is a hero and a bright warrior of the Ukrainian and Belarusian nations. Therefore, under the arches of the farewell, the Prayer of a Ukrainian Nationalist and the Oath of a Belarusian Warrior, the anthem of Ukraine, and the holy 'Pahonia' were heard,” — reported the Belarusian Volunteer Corps in its Telegram channel.
The honor guard paid tribute to the hero with a triple volley, and representatives, chosen in advance by Tsikhan, handed over the national flags of Belarus, Ukraine, and the standard of the 60th AmBr, in which Tsikhan served.
