Date of next All-Belarusian People's Assembly meeting determined
The third meeting of the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly will take place in Minsk on December 17-18, 2026. The corresponding order was signed by Alexander Lukashenka.
Since 2024, the All-Belarusian People's Assembly holds annual meetings after being granted constitutional status.
The Belarusian authorities call the APB "the supreme representative body of people's power, which determines the strategic directions for the development of the country and society, and must ensure the preservation of the constitutional order, the continuity of generations, and civil accord." In reality, however, it is a body with vague powers, in the selection of delegates for which the people do not even formally participate. No important decisions are made during the meetings, and in the intervals between them, the APB is almost never mentioned.
