Russian drones attacked western Ukraine. One of them hit the locomotive of a passenger train not far from the border with Poland near the Yahodyn checkpoint.

"Today in Volyn, two kilometers from the border with Poland, the enemy struck the locomotive of a passenger train," Ukrzaliznytsia reported.

No one was injured — a monitoring group had warned the train crew about the threat in advance.

Strikes on the railway are being carried out for the second day in a row, Ukrzaliznytsia added.

Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha called the strike on the train near the Polish border "Putin's terror knocking right on the doors of the EU and NATO".

On the night of September 13, Russia attacked Ukraine with 453 drones of various types, the Air Force of Ukraine reported.
