"This is probably my last trip to the forest." A resident of Smolevichi was attacked by a swarm of wasps
Marina, a resident of Smolevichi, went mushroom hunting in the forest near the village of Pekalin, but unexpectedly came under attack from a swarm of wasps. The woman received several bites - on her finger, thigh, and hands, writes the publication "Krai Smolevichi".

According to the woman, she did not even hear any buzzing before the attack and at first did not understand what had happened. Her skin began to burn intensely, and the bite areas quickly turned red and started to itch.
Upon returning home, Marina took an antihistamine. For several more hours, she felt tingling all over her body, and at night she couldn't sleep due to severe itching. Twenty-four hours later, the redness and itching at the bite sites still persisted.
During the same walk, the woman also encountered deer keds, also known as moose flies. According to her, these insects stick to the face so strongly that they have to be peeled off like tape.
"It's a nightmare. This is probably my last trip to the forest – at least this year," Marina said.
The Smolevichi Central District Hospital reminded that after an insect bite, one should carefully monitor their well-being. If swelling of the face, lips or tongue appears, breathing becomes difficult, severe weakness, dizziness, or a widespread rash occurs, it is necessary to urgently seek medical help.
Doctors recommend that people with severe insect bite allergies carry a prescribed adrenaline auto-injector with them.
