Mikhail Petrusyn Dies
On September 10, Mikhail Petrusyn, former deputy chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee and former member of the Central Election Commission of Belarus, died. This was reported by the CEC press service. The former official was 75 years old; the cause of his death is not named.

The CEC noted that Petrusyn made a significant contribution to the development of the current electoral system of Belarus.
In the 1990s, Petrusyn was involved in business. In 1999, he became deputy head of the administration of the Oktyabrsky district of Minsk. In August 2000, he was appointed deputy chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee for ideology. He worked in this position for almost six years.
In the last years of his professional activity, Mikhail Petrusyn headed the capital's department of the Social Protection Fund.
