Minsk deputy and political scientist-propagandist Vadim Borovik reflected on who should pay on a date at a cafe.
"If you invited a woman, she is the fair sex, it's the Year of the Woman — is this salad really something to be grudged? But the main problem is not this. The problem is that a person is not entirely well either financially or mentally. Because, you understand: it's about normal etiquette, not a strategic sum," Borovik said on the YouTube channel of "SB".
His logic is: if a man invited on a date, he is responsible for it.
"But a woman also shouldn't turn her life into a culinary tour. Here she has planned for herself: today I'll eat with this one, tomorrow with that one, and the day after with another. You also have such an attitude, that you are a salad fairy. Mutual trust is formed based on love, mutual respect, and responsibility. So if I invited you, I am a responsible person, and you shouldn't worry about it. You should be confident that with this man tonight, you are completely provided for."
