A Belarusian woman under the pseudonym nes_teass recounted how almost a month ago she decided to use the Minsk subway. It seems the girl turned out to be one of those Belarusians who suffered from turnstiles.

Almost a month has passed since that incident:

«On the morning of August 10, around 9:40-9:50, I was entering the subway at "Kamennaya Gorka" station. I tapped my travel pass [to the validator], everything as usual, waited for the signal allowing movement. Apparently, the turnstile was faulty, it hit my leg.

It would be nothing, but because of this incident, I'm still on crutches. I'm only 19, there's a possibility of serious meniscus damage».

The girl adds that one of the subway employees witnessed her getting injured. But in response, he didn't try to help, but simply made a hand gesture — implying, "pass through."

In the comments, the Belarusian woman clarifies that she has an intra-articular hematoma and many symptoms. On September 6, she will have an MRI — she hasn't been able to get an urgent examination yet. The girl hopes that then she will get an explanation for her condition.

The Belarusian woman wrote about her misfortune to the Minsk Metro's email, but in response, she was told to submit a complaint through the portal Обращения.бел (Complaints.bel) — implying that the metro does not accept complaints via email. The girl wrote a complaint there as well: it was registered, but has not yet been answered.

If the story drags on even longer, the girl might have to adjust her stage plans. The thing is, she performs in the choir "Bratka Belarus," which operates at the Minsk State College of Innovative Construction Technologies. A video of that choir went viral in March 2026, when the members of "Bratka Belarus" sang the folk song "Як пайду я ў новую канюшню" (As I go to the new stable) right on a Minsk bus.
