During this period, all drivers must turn on their low beam headlights or daytime running lights, if provided by the vehicle, even when driving during the day. This requirement is enshrined in paragraph 166.9 of the Traffic Rules.
Violation of this rule entails a warning or a fine of up to three base units – up to 111 rubles.
On the eve of the new academic year, the State Automobile Inspection urges drivers and other road users to be especially attentive. Control will be strengthened on the roads, and preventive measures will be carried out. Special attention will be paid to child safety.
