39-year-old actor Pavel Kanyok was admitted to intensive care after a sudden stroke, say those close to the artist. He later died in the hospital.
They say Pavel had problems with high blood pressure, and he dedicated a lot of time to work.
The farewell ceremony for the actor will take place tomorrow in his native Homel.
Pavel Kanyok performed on the stage of the Homel Drama Theater since he was 17. His talent was noticed by Russian actor Igor Yasulovich, after which Kanyok enrolled in VGIK and studied under him.
After graduating from the institute in 2010, the actor worked at the Moscow theater "Kamernaya Stsena" (Chamber Stage), and from 2015 – at "Moskontsert". In 2020, he returned to Belarus and joined the troupe of the Homel Youth Theater.
During his career, Pavel Kanyok starred in more than 20 films and TV series, including Russian projects "Sled" (The Trace), "Advokat" (The Lawyer), "Univer" and others.
He is survived by his wife and young daughter.
