BNTU is completing the reconstruction of its 15th academic building, which is set to welcome back students and faculty starting September 1st. After the renovation, the building has transformed from just a place for lectures and practical classes into a more modern space for study, relaxation, and dining, writes Domovita.by.

The building consists of two parts – a 15-story and an 8-story section. The length of one of the corridors in the lower section reaches 130 meters.

Inside, large auditoriums of various formats, modern laboratories, and practical training rooms have appeared. Automatic darkening systems have been installed in the auditoriums: motorized blinds will allow adjusting the lighting according to needs.

Entry to the building's territory will be possible via turnstiles. A large cloakroom has been placed on the first floor, and a spacious hall has been created on the second. A fresco with the symbolism of the four faculties whose students will study in this building has been preserved there.

Nine modern elevators will operate between floors. Special equipment for people with reduced mobility is also provided.

Special attention was paid to areas for relaxation and independent study. A library and a reading room with soft furniture and sofas will open in the building. There, students will be able to prepare for classes, work on group projects, or relax between sessions. A recreation area with benches has been equipped on the third floor. A photocopying center will also operate.

Snack options have also been provided for students. A buffet with new equipment and display cases will open in the building. It will sell pastries, hot dishes, salads, and light snacks. In addition, coffee machines will be installed in the building.

A full lunch will be available at BNTU Canteen No. 4, located opposite the building at Nezalezhnastsi Avenue, 146.

The area around the building has also changed. The green zone has been updated, pedestrian paths and recreation areas have been created. A large floral composition is planned for the flowerbeds.
