High-speed rail link will allow travel from Minsk to the airport in 30 minutes

A high-speed passenger rail link will allow travel from Minsk to Minsk National Airport in 30 minutes. Konstantin Boyar, the first deputy head of the passenger service department of Belarusian Railways, told journalists about this, writes BelTA.
The connection is planned to be organized along the route Minsk — Haradzishcha — Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park "Great Stone" — Minsk National Airport.
The total length of the section is 41 km, of which 31 km will be new.
The first phase of construction is currently being implemented. The project is being carried out in accordance with the state program "Transport of Belarus" for 2026-2030.
As Konstantin Boyar noted, the project is of great importance for Minsk and the country as a whole, and an increase in passenger traffic is expected.
“We plan about 20 pairs of trains per day between Minsk and the airport. The project provides for high-speed travel. The estimated travel time is 30 minutes. New rolling stock with improved consumer qualities and characteristics will operate on this route,” he said.
Konstantin Boyar also spoke about the planned stops.
“We envisage a Minsk-Eastern stop, which will be connected to the subway. A stop is planned at "Great Stone", as we must provide transport links not only with the airport, but also with logistical centers,” he noted.
It was previously reported that the railway would be built by 2028.
