The dry summer has forced Belarusian full-flowing reservoirs to recede.
"Calmly and slowly, as in a magical dream, nestled in the swamps, the Pripyat carries its rich tribute to the dry Dnieper," wrote Yakub Kolas in his famous work.
But, as we can see, the Pripyat has shallowed to a record low.
The Telegram channel @nadvorie recorded a difference over a month and a half: July 2nd and August 17th.
