On Friday, August 14, a drone flew into Latvian territory from the direction of Belarus, Defense Minister Raivis Melnis said in an interview on Latvian Television, writes Delfi.lv.

The Minister confirmed that drones flying into Latvian territory will be shot down.

On Friday morning, NATO fighters shot down a drone that entered Latvian airspace near Lake Bažēvas in northeastern Latvia. The drone was shot down in a wooded area; no residents were harmed, and no property damage was incurred.
