"Belsat" switches to a new satellite
From August 12, "Belsat" fully switches to broadcasting via the Hot Bird 13E satellite. Broadcasting via the previous Astra satellite stops, the TV channel announced .

Until now, "Belsat" broadcast simultaneously via two satellites — Astra and Hot Bird. The transition period was necessary for viewers to have time to reconfigure their equipment. From August 12, broadcasting via Astra completely stops, and "Belsat"'s satellite signal will be available via Hot Bird 13E.
"Belsat" broadcasts via Hot Bird as part of the free satellite package "Svaboda" (Freedom), created by the international organization "Reporters Without Borders." Along with "Belsat," the package includes TV channels "Vot Tak" and "Slava," as well as a number of other independent media outlets.
To receive the signal, the antenna must be directed towards the Hot Bird 13.0E satellite. Setup parameters:
Satellite — Hot Bird 13.0E
Frequency — 10 949 MHz
Polarization — vertical
SR — 27500 Ksym/s
FEC — 2/3
Modulation — DVB-S2/8PSK
If the antenna was previously tuned to Astra, it must be physically reoriented to the new satellite position. A linear converter is required for reception. If a circular polarization converter is currently in use, there is no need to change the entire antenna — it is sufficient to replace the converter.
