In Vawkavysk district, a fisherman drowned while trying to retrieve a fishing rod from the water
The tragedy occurred on August 8 on a lake near the village of Astrouchytsy, Vawkavysk district, as reported by TRK "Grodno".

A man born in 1985 was fishing with his brother. At some point, the fishing rod fell into the water and began to drift away from the shore. The fisherman swam after it, but on the way back, he went underwater and did not resurface.
His brother pulled the man to shore, but paramedics who arrived at the scene pronounced him dead.
An investigation is underway regarding the tragedy.
