She did this before the start of the Mikita Mielkaziórau Memorial Football Tournament, which is taking place today in Warsaw, writes Tribuna.

Before the start of the tournament, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya donated her first boxing gloves for a charity raffle.

A year ago, in the "Zhyttsie-Malina" program, Tsikhanouskaya told Mikita Mielkaziórau that she had started boxing.

She then revealed that in winter 2024, she started boxing. She says that one person literally led her by the hand to a trainer.

"He told me to try it, seeing that I was in such a difficult psychological state and had nothing to distract myself with. I don't want to go to movies, bars, concerts, or restaurants, and I'm not in a situation to allow myself that. But I thought about sports. And I liked it, I liked that you could detach from the situation without cursing yourself for doing something inappropriate in some context. And it all started with boxing," Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya recounted.

Previously, the football tournament was named "Aliaksandr Ivulin Cup" and was founded five years ago in honor of journalist Ivulin when he was imprisoned. This year, it was decided to rename the tournament in honor of Belarusian journalist Mikita Mielkaziórau, who suddenly passed away last December.
