All injured were taken to the hospital. According to reports from French media, one of the women, who was pregnant, is in a very serious condition. The condition of the other two injured is assessed as less serious.
The suspect in the attack was apprehended thanks to a police officer who was off-duty at the time. He noticed an armed man, reported it to colleagues, and followed him until the police unit arrived. The arrest occurred without the use of firearms.
According to preliminary information, the detainee is a 31-year-old French citizen. His motives have not yet been established. According to investigation data, the man might have been in a state of mental disorder.
A video has circulated on social media in which the suspect appears disoriented and utters the phrase: "Allah commanded me."
The Paris prosecutor's office has launched an investigation. The National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office reported that it is monitoring the development of the case and currently does not rule out any of the possible versions of the incident. The area where the attack occurred has been cordoned off, and investigators continue their work on site.
