Tornado spotted near Babruysk in the morning
Experts from the popular meteorological channel "Meteowaib" confirm that it was indeed a tornado.
On the morning of July 20, eyewitnesses photographed a tornado near Babruysk. The photos were published by participants of the "Belarusian Storm Chasers" community.
According to their information, the atmospheric phenomenon was observed around 9:30 AM to the west of Babruysk, writes Onliner.by.
Experts from the popular meteorological channel "Meteowaib" confirm that it was indeed a tornado.
"It's 100% a tornado, as the condensation funnel touched the ground," the community reported.
According to them, the phenomenon likely had a non-mesocyclonic origin.
A tornado is an atmospheric vortex that connects a thunderstorm cloud to the surface of the earth or water. If the funnel does not reach the surface, such a phenomenon is called a funnel cloud.
