In Łódź, a Pole attacked a Pole, thinking he was Ukrainian

In the Polish city of Łódź, an unknown man attacked a random passerby, mistakenly believing him to be Ukrainian. The incident occurred on July 11 in the city center on Piłsudski Avenue, writes Rmf24.pl.

According to the victim, the attacker approached him while he was talking on the phone, hit him several times, and began to insult him, stating that he allegedly "has no place in this country."

The victim turned out to be a Polish citizen. As a result of the attack, he sustained serious head injuries, as well as damage to his nose and jaw, after which he was taken to the hospital. The next day, the man reported the incident to the police.

Law enforcement officers are searching for the attacker. They have already obtained surveillance camera footage and are appealing to witnesses of the incident.

The police noted that the attacker's ultimate motive could only be established after his arrest and interrogation.
