"Do not touch with hands." Sellers forbid Belarusians from picking the best berries. PHOTO FACT
Passing by a vegetable and fruit stall in the agro-town of Lesny near Minsk, a pristalica.by journalist drew attention to a piece of cardboard taped to the stand.
On this cardboard, the sellers wrote out the main rules of trade with a marker:
"Do not touch berries with hands" and "Strawberries and cherries are sold all together in bulk, without sorting."
In other words, people were forbidden from choosing the ripest and freshest berries from the tray. Apparently, to prevent them from being crushed when picked.
