A clash occurred between two companies relaxing in one of Gomel's cafes, which resulted in a lifelong mark on the face of a 22-year-old man. Details were reported to the city prosecutor's office by the "Belka" publication.
The young people stayed late at the establishment and periodically went outside to smoke. It was during one such outing that the fight broke out.
One of the participants in the conflict was on crutches after a complex fracture and surgery. By the way, he did not consume alcohol because he was taking antibiotics. However, this did not stop the 32-year-old man from using his crutch and hitting his interlocutor in the face with it. From the blow, the guy lost his balance, fell, and barely remembered the subsequent events. The injured person was taken by ambulance, and among other things, a broken nose was diagnosed.
The fracture healed over time, but the crutch blow left an irreparable mark on the young man's face. Medical examination confirmed that this cosmetic defect will not completely disappear, and additionally, the victim now has difficulty breathing.
The 32-year-old man will be tried for intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm. He faces up to 8 years of imprisonment.
