Scammers created a fake website that externally mimics BelTA, and at the same time use the name of the Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic, Natalya Kochanova, to deceive citizens, reported the press service of the Ministry of Information.

The fake resource features a photograph of Kochanova and a fabricated news story claiming that the "Central Bank" allegedly sued her. The Ministry of Information emphasizes that this information does not correspond to reality.

Using sensational headlines, the scammers promote a so-called investment agency called Immediate Fortune, promising fantastic profits to those who fall for the advertisement. For example, it is claimed that by investing 270 rubles, one can receive more than a million rubles in just 12–15 weeks.
