In the DRC itself, there are already more than a thousand such cases.

Ebola fever is an acute viral highly contagious disease. It affects humans, some primates, and some even-toed ungulates.

The virus spreads through blood or fluid secretions from the body of a sick or deceased person or animal. Infection can occur not only through direct contact with an infected person, but also through objects recently contaminated with biological fluids. Airborne transmission of the disease between primates, including humans, has not been recorded in laboratory or natural conditions.

While in countries where there are cases of Ebola fever, it is recommended to strictly follow a number of rules for prevention of infection.

It is necessary to observe personal hygiene rules (regular hand washing, use of antiseptics), avoid close contact with people who have signs of infectious diseases, exclude contact with wild animals (bats, primates, etc.), and also avoid visiting their habitats.
