Russian Investigative Committee named responsible persons and perpetrators who, according to its version, attacked a bus with Belarusian children near Bryansk
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation named those involved in the attack on a passenger bus with children from Belarus in the Bryansk region. Among them are Robert Brovdi, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces, and Oleh Ivashchenko, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who, according to the Russian side, ordered the attack on civilian transport in the territory of the Russian Federation. This was reported by TASS by Svetlana Petrenko, official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee.
«The investigation established the involvement in the crime of Robert Brovdi, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces, and Oleh Ivashchenko, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who provided targeting and gave an illegal order to attack civilian vehicles on Russian territory», — she said.
In addition, the Russian Investigative Committee states that the perpetrators of the terrorist act have been identified. Specifically, they are Dmytro Tkachenko, a serviceman of the "Chimera" unmanned systems unit of the 105th Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine; Ihor Zhukov, a serviceman of the "Shkval" rapid response border commandant's office of the 7th Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine; and Vladyslav Naum, a serviceman of the 73rd Marine Special Operations Center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Petrenko reported that decisions have been made to charge Brovdi, Ivashchenko, Tkachenko, Zhukov, and Naum under Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (commission of a terrorist act resulting in death).
The Russian Investigative Committee stated that it is further identifying other accomplices to the crime. The investigation of the criminal case, the statement says, is being conducted in cooperation with the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side denied its involvement in the attack.
State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich stated yesterday that the purpose of the attack on the bus with Belarusian children was to «pit Belarus against Ukraine», but he did not name who was behind the attack.
A passenger bus carrying a children's football team from Belarus was attacked on June 17. The bus was traveling from Gomel to Gelendzhik. As a result of the UAV strike, one passenger died and eight were injured, including six children.
