A tropical night is a night during which the temperature throughout the entire night-time remains not lower than +20 °C. Such weather is characteristic primarily of tropical and subtropical regions, but in recent years it has been increasingly observed in countries with a temperate climate.

During such nights, the body does not manage to cool down sufficiently after the daytime heat. This is especially difficult for elderly people, children, and those with cardiovascular diseases.

For Belarus, tropical nights remain a relatively rare phenomenon. Last year, they were only observed in July, but this year they arrived earlier.

According to meteorologists' forecasts, the weather will remain warm in the coming days. By the end of the week, temperatures will gradually rise, and in some areas in the southwest of the country, they could reach +35 degrees. Early next week, up to +38 degrees is expected in places, so tropical nights may recur.

Specialists advise to ventilate rooms more often during periods of heat, drink enough water, and if possible, avoid significant physical exertion during the hottest hours of the day.
