Belarusian who became top scorer of Moldovan championship to continue career in Israel
Dzianis Kazlouski moved from Chisinau's "Zimbru" to "Maccabi" Kiryat Gat, which will play in the second division of the Israeli football championship.
Last season for "Zimbru", Kazlouski played 33 matches in all tournaments, scoring 23 goals and providing eight assists.
Dzianis explained his departure from "Zimbru" by the resignation of Belarusian coach Aleh Kubarev, as well as the club's delay in renewing his contract.
"Maccabi" is an ambitious club. Moreover, one of the most important factors was that the contract was offered not for one year, but for two. In addition, when they contacted me, they outlined the team's goals and objectives. I researched what kind of city it is. It's important for me that I can move and live comfortably with my family, to take my daughter to a good kindergarten nearby," Dzianis told reporters.
He was asked if he was not intimidated by the permanent military conflict in the Middle East.
"Now, if you think about it, nowhere is safe. Of course, I also took these nuances into account when considering offers and options. I weighed all the pros and cons. When they explained how the coaching staff saw me, they also mentioned that everything is calm in southern Israel. But overall, I repeat, the situation in the world is unstable: no matter where you are, you cannot feel completely safe," replied Dzianis Kazlouski.
The Israeli second division championship starts in mid-August.
