The 21-year-old was initially deceived by the "intercom replacement" scheme.

After that, he received a call allegedly from the Belarusian State Inspectorate of Electrical Communications, who informed him that fraudsters had gained access to the interbank digital system and seized personal data, Minsk Police reports.

He believed that criminal loans had been taken out in his name, and a criminal case would be initiated in connection with this.

To get a positive reference from the alleged law enforcement officer, the man was offered to perform tasks: to help other victims of fraudsters in declaring money.

Following the instructions of the attackers, the Minsk resident collected money from four addresses and transported it to a neighboring state.

Upon returning to Minsk, he told everything to his acquaintance, who explained that the guy had become a victim of fraud, so he went to the police himself.

A criminal case has been initiated, and the investigation is ongoing.
