Apłaci App will also request geolocation from July 1
Without permission to access geolocation, it will be impossible to log into the account.
This is due to new regulator requirements for all banks and payment applications in Belarus, which will come into force in 2026, writes Onliner.by.
To find the necessary settings, on both iOS and Android, you need to go to device settings, then to the apps section, and select the 'Apłaci' application from the list. On iOS, select 'Geolocation', and on Android, first 'Permissions' and then 'Geolocation'.
'Apłaci' is a Belarusian payment application (electronic wallet and payment service) that allows you to pay for goods and services via smartphone.
Through it, you can usually:
- pay for purchases in stores using a QR code,
- transfer money to other users,
- pay for utility services, communication, internet, and other services,
- store and use bonuses or cashback (if supported).
