Changes are being prepared in Belarus to the law regulating the system of state awards. This was reported by Minister of Justice Yevgeny Kovalenko. According to him, a draft law "On Amending the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On State Awards of the Republic of Belarus" is already being developed, which is included in the plan for the preparation of legislative acts for 2026, approved by Lukashenka.

During the preparation of the draft law, specialists from various state bodies are analyzing several important issues. The possibility of creating new state awards and honorary titles is being considered, certain norms of the current law are being clarified, and the procedure for nominating citizens for awards and the requirements for people who can receive state awards are being studied.

One of the most notable proposals was the initiative of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection to create a new order with the working title "Parental Valor".

It is assumed that this award will be given to families who have raised a large number of children and, over many years, set an example for other citizens in preserving family traditions, strengthening family values, and raising the younger generation.
