Vocalist of Dymna Lotva band to be tried in absentia
The Investigative Committee of Belarus announced the initiation of "special proceedings" against Katsiaryna Mankevich, the vocalist of the Belarusian metal band Dymna Lotva.

According to the agency, Katsiaryna Mankevich is charged with a number of criminal articles, including propaganda of terrorism, financing terrorist activities, assisting extremist activities, threatening violence against Aliaksandr Lukashenka and insulting him.
Mankevich left Belarus in 2021, citing the threat of criminal prosecution. After emigrating, she lived in Irpin, Ukraine. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the family spent about two weeks in bomb shelters, after which they evacuated to Poland.
